Living Colour, an American rock band from New York City formed in 1984, consists of guitarist Vernon Reid, lead vocalist Corey Glover, drummer Will Calhoun, and bassist Doug Wimbish. Their music is a fusion of heavy metal, funk, jazz, hip hop, punk, and alternative rock, with lyrics that address personal and political themes, including racism in the United States. They gained fame with their debut album "Vivi" in "1988 and their signature song “Cult" of Personality,” which won a Grammy in 1990 and became the entrance theme for wrestler CM Punk. The band won Best New Artist at the 1989 MTV Video Music Awards and a second Grammy for their album "Time’s Up" in 1990. After disbanding in 1995 and reuniting in 2000, they have released three more albums: "Collideøscope" (2003), "The Chair in the Doorway" (2009), and "Shade" (2017), with new material in the works.
