The Minneapolis duo Bad Bad Hats, named after a song from the "Madeline" children’s books, was founded by singer/songwriter Kerry Alexander and guitarist Chris Hoge. Celebrated for their catchy melodies and big choruses, the band’s sound is influenced by Kerry’s early exposure to MTV pop and artists like David Bowie and Tom Petty. After meeting at Macalester College, Kerry and Chris began collaborating, eventually forming Bad Bad Hats with bassist Noah Boswell. Their debut LP "Psychic Reader" (2015) gained them a wider audience, and follow-up albums "Lightning Round" (2018) and "Walkman" (2021) showcased their evolving sound. Touring with acts like The Beths and Michelle Branch, Bad Bad Hats continued to grow. Their latest self-titled LP, created in their Twin Cities home, highlights the band's fun, creative spirit and will be released on April 12th, 2024 via Don Giovanni Records.
