Where to park for Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade

You are in your car and you are ready to head Downtown for some holiday fun! Where do you park? Here are some of my favorite spots in close walking distance to the parade.

Moorhead Center Mall and LinkFM: Free!

Park at the Moorhead Center Mall parking ramp and hop on the LinkFM which brings you right to the center of Downtown within a few yards of Holiday Winterfest, The Holiday Market in the Black Building, and of course the Xcel Energy Holiday Lights Parade!Parking will be available at the Moorhead Center Mall and Link FM will shuttle attendees Downtown before the parade until 5:30 p.m. LinkFM will not run during the parade. Link FM will resume service after the parade from 8:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. There will be two LinkFM buses on route to reduce congestion as well as decrease wait times after the parade.

Roberts Commons: Free for the first 2 hours and Free after 5pm

This garage is right in the heart of all the action. You will be a half block off Broadway and a block away from Holiday Winterfest and The Holiday Market in the Black Building

Civic Center Ramp: $1.50 an hour and Free after 5pm.

Located just a block off Broadway, located directly behind Holiday Winterfest.

NP Ave Lot: $1 and hour and Free after 5PM

There are lots of spaces in this surface lot! Good location if you plan on eating at a Downtown restaurant before the parade.

Island Park Ramp: Free after 5PM

Perfect location to get in and out of Downtown quickly. Just across the street from the beginning of Broadway.

Island Park: Free all day!

Only a few blocks off Broadway located behind the pool. Take 7th street off Main, park by the pool, and walk north.

3rd & 4th Street and Main Ave Surface Lots: Free after 5 PM

Right on Main and close to where the parade turns onto Broadway. Limited availability.

Street Parking: 90 Minutes Free, Free after 5 PM.

You won’t be able to park on Broadway due to the parade but you can search for spots on the side streets and on the blocks off of Broadway.
