The 1889 - Downtown Community Partnership
 A mother/daughter dream built by a mother/daughter team.

In the fall of 2022 Lana had a chance meeting with the owners of 602 Main in downtown Fargo. She had the dream of starting a business where she could teach cooking classes. They had the perfect building. The idea ruminated for a few months until her daughter, Addie, came home for Christmas. They started discussing the business and the building and Addie knew she was the perfect fit to run the day-to-day operations.

After touring the building, the team decided they could do more than just cooking classes. The upper mezzanine was the perfect spot for crafting classes. With some suggestions from friends and family it also became clear that the space and location was perfect for small, private events.

Over the next year Addie moved back to Fargo to begin planning and, in August, 2023, renovations began at 602 Main. With a steady vision, a lot of hard work and God’s blessings, the vision started to become a reality.
