WDAY-TV and WDAY-AM-970 Radio

WDAY-AM radio signed on the air in 1922 becoming Fargo’s First radio station. WDAY-TV was the first TV station in the region signing on in 1953 originally as an NBC station and changing to ABC in 1983. WDAZ is a satellite station covering the northern 17 counties and also carried on the Canadian cable system reaching more than 474,000 households. EDAY-TV is the CW affiliate for the region carried on cable systems, DirecTV and over-the-air digital. WDAY and WDAZ each have their own anchor teams which allows our stations to be the most local of any newscast in the region. WDAY is also the only locally owned station.
