Creating art can promote wellness by helping you express emotions that are difficult to verbalize, relax to reduce stress, connect with other survivors and restore hope for recovery. The Essentia Health Cancer Center’s Survivorship Program and the Essentia Health Regional Foundation invite all cancer survivors and loved ones to participate in these opportunities to cultivate your creative spirit. Participants will learn about the art of mosaic as they design and create their very own 8×8 inch picture frame. Learn about the kinds of adhesives, surfaces and tiles that are used in creating mosaics and how to safely cut and nip glass and tiles. A grouting demonstration will be performed at the end of the class and each participant will take a grouting project kit home to complete at their convenience.
